Private by default, by design
Joining a workspace gives you the workspace and nothing more. Every project, conversation and file is shared only with the people who should see it.
Who can see what
Projects are opt-in
Someone has to add you to a project. Until then it's absent from your sidebar, search, calendar and notifications.
Nothing to probe for
A project you can't see answers exactly like one that doesn't exist, so its name and contents can't be guessed.
Assignments respect access
A task can only be assigned to someone who can see its project. Admins are asked before anyone is added.

How your data is protected
Files behind sign-in
Attachments are kept in private storage. Every download checks that you're signed in and allowed to see the file.
Live updates for what you can see
Your live connection only receives updates for projects and conversations you have access to.
Profile photos without location
Photos are checked by their actual contents and saved with location and camera details removed.
Invites that reveal nothing
Inviting an email address never shows whether that address already has an account.
Forms protected from spam
Public forms use a hidden honeypot and limit how often one address can submit.
Encrypted in transit
Every connection to Crewdesk uses HTTPS, and browsers are told never to use anything else.
Where your data lives
The Crewdesk app and its database run in the United States. Live updates, calls and push notifications go through the providers listed in our privacy policy.
